Leeds is a lively city that is full of fabulous cultural and historic sites, which are great fun to look around. more than 100,000 people come to work in the city centre every day and 1000s more come to shop, eat out or just to enjoy the variety of attractions Leeds has on offer.

From beautiful architecture to historical sites, Leeds boasts some gorgeous things to do and see.

One of the city's favourite lure is Kirkstall Abbey, which is a historical abbey placed in the outskirts of the city. It is thought to be one of englands most complete examples of a medieval Cistercian abbey. construction started on the abbey in 1152 & it took over 75 years to finish. The historical abbey is now a Grade 1 listed building.

As well as Kirkstall Abbey, Leeds boasts plenty of other things to do, including the historical Kirkgate Market.

Often called the ‘Knightsbridge of the North’, Leeds is a great location for shoppers! It boasts over 1,000 stores, including Harvey Nicholls, Louis Vuitton and more, scattered around its sophisticated high streets, state-of-the-art malls, Victorian arcades, historical buildings & edwardian markets.

If the fast pace of Leeds' city life gets too much for you, you'll be happy to understand that the city has some pretty park spaces, including the award winning millennium gardens. These pretty gardens were built for £12 million to commemorate the millennium. The beautiful gardens won a medal at the 2004 chelsea flower show.

If you'd rather spend your time doing more artistic activities, you'll be happy to understand that Leeds has nine wonderful museums and art galleries. These include the royal armouries museum and the superb henry moore institute, so you are positive to locate one to enjoy.

Leeds has got some fabulous nightlife, which begs to be tasted. Whether you would rather have a cosy drink in one of the city's rustic inns or a glass of white wine at one of Leeds' vip wine bars, you'll have a fabulous evening here.

Post-drink, why not hit the nightclubs? Leeds has some fabulous nightclubs that cater to any musical style, which means that you'll be spoiled for choice.

Leeds also has many venues to watch live music, including the Cockpit. These venues cater mostly to rock music and attract local and touring bands.

Unfortunately, we have reached the end of our leeds tourism guide. despite this, if you need further info, call your nearest tourist information centre, who will be pleased to help you.
