The Canary Islands are a prime holiday destination on national and worldwide levels thanks to their a good deal of virtues, suchlike unbeatable landscapes, beautiful beaches and privileged climate. Notwithstanding this summer the Tourism Council of Fuerteventura’s Cabildo as initiated a tourism promotional crusade aimed at the islands’ habitants. Its goal to be attained is to boost bury-island tourism and to get Canarians to spend the summer in the Canary Islands.
The crusade comprises of two separate parts. On one side, a firstborn share which is generic and mutual to all seven islands which was filmed in respective areas throughout the archipelago to get habitants of those privileged islands to stay and enjoy the summer in their autonomous community. On the other hand, a second share developed for each island on an individual basis to advertise trips and visits on each Canary Island.
As for Fuerteventura, the crusade, promoted by the Cabildo’s Tourism Council in collaboration with the Canarian Government, is principally grounded on beaches.
Hence the adverts which have been displayed in newspapers, on television and on the web, represent respective situations in three separate locations: Sotavento beach, Corralejo’s dunes and the fishing harbour of El Cotillo.
The Tourism Councillor of Fuerteventura’s Cabildo, Águeda Montelongo, is rather satisfied with this initiative, because “tourism within the islands themselves is very interesting as the average everyday spending is high and it tends to consist of short breaks, which means that it’s a dissimilar type of tourism to the traditional one and comprises of a perfect complement”.
